Tres Chicas was an American alt-country group from Raleigh, North Carolina. When Caitlin Cary (ex-Whiskeytown), Tonya Lamm (ex-Hazeldine) and Lynn Blakey [[artist]Glory Fountain] (died 2026) began singing together in 1999, their first performance was an impromptu singalong at an Alejandro Escovedo show in a Raleigh bar.The trio's name was bestowed upon them by the owner of the bar after the performance. The trio released their first album in 2004 for Yep Roc.
