Kamelot is an American power metal band from Tampa, Florida, formed in 1987 by guitarist Thomas Youngblood. The band was originally named Camelot, a suggestion attributed to Youngblood’s mother, and initially featured Richard Warner on drums, Rob Beck on vocals and Dirk Van Tilborg on bass and keyboards. In 1988, the group recorded the song "Breaking The Silence" for a local compilation. By 1991, Sean Tibbetts joined on bass, Mark Vanderbilt replaced Rob Beck on vocals and Dirk Van Tilborg had left
