Spinetta y los Socios del Desierto was an Argentine rock power trio active between 1994 and 1999, comprised of Luis Alberto Spinetta on guitar and vocals, Marcelo Torres on bass, and Daniel Wirtz on drums. In 1993, Spinetta composed the soundtrack for the film Fuego Gris, directed by Pablo César, before dedicating himself to Spinetta y los Socios del Desierto. With this group, he undertook a short national tour and played at the Teatro Opera, in what polls voted the Best Show of the Year.
