Lisa Loeb (born Lisa Anne Loeb in Bethesda, Maryland, United States on March 11,1968) is an American singer-songwriter and actress. She launched her career in 1994 with the song, Stay. She is only one of two artists to have a number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 while not signed to a recording contract (the other being Macklemore with 2013's Thrift Shop). Loeb carried the momentum of her early success into a multi-dimensional career encompassing music, film, television, voice-over work and children’s recordings.
